About the Horn Doctor Music Store
Family owned and operated, the Horn Doctor has been serving the Anchorage Community since 1984.
John Kagerer graduated from Allied Music in 1978 and began his career as a Professional Band Instrument Repair Technician in the Detroit Michigan area. In 1980, John was drawn to Anchorage out of his love for the out-of-doors and the adventures Alaska had to offer.
John was the Master Technician for Armstrong Music of Anchorage until they closed their doors in 1984. John's love for the area and the need for his services, prompted the creation of The Horn Doctor Music Store.
Now in our third location, The Horn Doctor Music Store, Inc. is a full service provider for all your music needs. Please come visit "the shop" to see all that we have to offer.

| Shipping to The Horn Doctor |
When Shipping an Instrument
We welcome instruments shipped via the US Postal Service,
UPS, FedEx, and any other freight service. |
| 1) Pack your instrument securely in its case, and place in
a sturdy box large enough to surround the case with at
least 3 to 4 inches of good packing material, i.e., bubble
wrap, packing "peanuts", etc. |
| 2) Inside the box, please include a note with your name,
address, contact phone numbers, and description of work
you would like done, or problems you are experiencing
from the instrument. We will call you with an estimate. |
3) Seal the box with strong packing tape, and
please INSURE your instrument for its FULL REPLACEMENT
VALUE.
If you do not know what the replacement
value might be, please call us before shipping the
instrument. |
